Reporting and workflows
The lobby has two pages for Astrato’s scheduler, reached from the left rail. They use the same schedules as the classic Reporting page, so anything created in one appears in the other.
Reporting
Section titled “Reporting”Reporting lists schedules in these tabs:
- Subscriptions — reports shared with you. Turn a subscription on or off with its toggle.
- Reports — recurring report schedules. Create one with New Report, and edit, run, disable, enable or delete it from its row menu. Run history shows every run with its attachments, errors and downloads. Viewers do not see this tab and cannot create or manage report schedules.
- On demand reports — one-off reports, with a download link once the file is ready. Viewers, designers and creators do not see this tab.
- Nash schedules — the recurring Nash tasks you created in conversation. Shown when recurring Nash is available to you. These are separate from the report schedules on the other tabs.
Existing schedules created by Viewers continue running. Administrators and tenant owners can manage them; Creators can also manage report schedules owned by current Viewers in their tenant. Viewers can continue receiving reports and managing their subscriptions. Report definition blocks no longer offer a Public checkbox or a Reports picker in the workbook filter bar. One-time report actions, downloads and exports remain available under their existing permissions.
The toolbar shows the tenant’s report limit and, when no custom email connection is set up, the Astrato email provider limit. Both reset each month.
In Subscriptions, a success notification confirms that your subscription change was saved. If the change fails, an error notification appears and the toggle keeps its previous state.
Choose Download file when an on-demand report is ready; the file keeps its filename and extension. If the link has expired, generate the export again.
Workflows
Section titled “Workflows”Workflows lists workflow schedules — notification actions defined in a workbook — in two tabs, Workflows and On demand workflows. Create one with New Workflow. The page is available to creators, administrators and owners.
For a recurring workflow, choose Disable from its row menu to pause automatic runs, or Enable to resume them. The Status column shows whether the schedule is enabled or disabled. These options are not available for on-demand workflows.
Links to the classic page, such as /reporting?tab=SCHEDULED_WORKFLOWS, map to these tabs: a
workflow tab opens on the Workflows page.
Run a schedule manually
Section titled “Run a schedule manually”For a recurring report, choose Run from its row menu. This action is available to the schedule’s owner (except Viewers), administrators and tenant owners. Creators can also run report schedules owned by current Viewers in their tenant.
For a recurring workflow, use the row’s Run button. Only creators, administrators and tenant owners can access the Workflows page and use this action; owning the schedule alone is not sufficient.
A manual run can send reports or notifications to the configured recipients. After the trigger request succeeds, a single success notification confirms it was accepted. If the request fails, an error notification appears instead. Check Run history for the outcome; confirmation that a schedule was triggered does not mean the run has finished.
To retry a failed execution, open Run history and choose Rerun beside its status. This creates a new execution; the previous run remains in the history.
For a failed run, open Attachment error details or Workflow error details. The dialog shows the Execution ID for the whole run and an execution ID for each attachment or workflow row. Use the copy buttons to share these identifiers when investigating the failure. The run ID remains available even when loading the detailed rows fails.
